Default We should petition the ESRB/Ratings committees

We ought to petition the ESRB to remove the use of alcohol thing on the box. It messes up your screen when you use ale, so it can be argued that it reflects alcohol's negative affects on the mind.

Not only that, but it isn't even a required part of the gameplay at any point.

Does it really matter though? Usually a parent will just look at the age, sex and violence levels.

the use of alcohol is rather pointless but does it matter?
most parents really don't care about that and just looks at the rating only and buys it

Hmm it's an 18, that'll do our 6 year old grand daughter! Oh wait! Alcohol! No we shall never even consider it again until she is at least 45...

There's a quest somewhere, either Kaineng or Echovald, about a guy who hints at having the disease Viagra treats (didn't want to say the disease itself for fear of being banned >_>). That's the suggestive content, as far as I know. I believe it was said somewhere else, however, that a lot of the Mesmer skill icons from Factions looked highly suggestive.

^In the Quest, "Problem Salving" this is his Dialogue:
Quote:
Thorn Devourer Salve? I had some, but it did not work the way I had hoped. You see, I...I mean, my wife and I, have been experiencing some...personal difficulties. A friend of a friend swore that Thorn Devourer Salve could help my...inability. Needless to say, it did not work. Otherwise, why would I be standing here talking to the likes of you? On the bright side, I have not felt this energized in years! I am afraid I do not have any left.
Funniest dialogue in the game, but enough to get that modifer on the box.

I kinda agree with this, as silly as it seems...the small things like that do add up...

what really gets at me is the new energy drink called Cocaine. has anyone heard of it? its suppose to give you the same "high feel" because its loaded with cafiene(sp?)...either way...im just sick of all these highly suggestive themes...of course the whole drinking in gw isnt as big of a deal as the cocaine drink...but really...

"Hi, I would like to purchase some Cocaine!"
"Why, certainly, here you are."

*cop busts the purchaser and the seller*

Totally stupid <_<

All I have to say is it doesn't actually say anything wrong. Unless you know what they are talking about (which makes you not innocent), it wouldn't make any sense. Therefore, it doesn't deserve the suggestive themes rating either.

Oh and about the 'not having to use it', thast doesn't matter it is still in the game. That would be like removing the sexual content icon from a GTA game, oh you don't have to go to that hooker, so let's not include it!
